1. About truvely
truvely (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a professional reference platform at www.truvely.co.ukthat allows users to collect, store, and share verified professional references. By accessing or using truvely, you (“you”, “user”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use truvely. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Your account
- •You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- •You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- •You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account and profile.
- •You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- •You may not create more than one account per person.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use truvely only for lawful, professional purposes. You must not:
- •Submit false, misleading, or fabricated references.
- •Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or professional credentials.
- •Use the platform to harass, defame, or harm any individual.
- •Send unsolicited reference requests to people you have not worked with.
- •Attempt to circumvent or exploit the work email verification system.
- •Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the service.
- •Upload content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, or violates third-party rights.
- •Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
- •Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
5. Reference content
truvely facilitates the collection of professional references. By submitting a reference, you confirm that:
- •The reference is truthful and based on your genuine professional experience with the subject.
- •You consent to the reference being stored and displayed on the subject's truvely profile.
- •You are providing the reference voluntarily and are not being coerced.
truvely reserves the right to remove any reference that we reasonably believe to be false, defamatory, or in violation of these Terms.
6. Intellectual property
The truvely name, logo, design, and underlying software are owned by truvely and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them without our written permission.
You retain ownership of the content you submit (your profile information and references written by you). By submitting content, you grant truvely a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store and display it as part of the service.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal data. By using truvely, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
truvely is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We do not verify the accuracy of references submitted by third parties. Users are responsible for assessing reference content.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, truvely shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@truvely.co.uk.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, without prior notice. We will not be liable for any loss resulting from such termination.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice on the website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of truvely shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer located in another jurisdiction, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by this clause.
